In the list below, we outline walking and running events taking place in Cape Town and Gauteng which are perfect for Zone Fitness members. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to hit the road and enjoy the outdoors.

Cape Town

Tygerberg Full Moon Fun Run/Hike (2 July)

The backdrop of Table Mountain while running/hiking through the beautiful Tygerberg Nature Reserve is an experience you cannot miss. At the start of the race participants will be able to see the sun set and thereafter also witness the rising of the moon. More details here.

The Wine Adventure Trail Run (5 July)

Whether you love the magnificent scenery of the Stellenbosch Mountains, or the amazing view of the vineyards, this trail run will excite you. Ranging from 5km to 15km, you determine the pace of your race. More details here.

Pick n Pay Women’s Walk Knysna (12 July)

This 5km walk is held in aid of breast cancer awareness, and is open to all, despite the name. Men, women and children are encouraged to attend. More details here.

Berg River Canoe Marathon (14-18  July)

If you’re an avid canoeist, then this marathon is for you. This will be the 54th consecutive year of this Paarl to Velddrif marathon. More details here.

First Ascent Forest 15km (25 July)

Whether you are in for the tough hills of the Constantiaberg, or the beauty of the Tokai Forest, this race has a lot to offer. The race is divided up into two parts; the first 7 kilometres are uphill, followed by the fast 8km downhill to the finish line. More details here.

Gauteng

Dark Run (7 July)

Have you wanted to do a night run? This is your opportunity to do it within a safe environment.  You can choose between walking and running the 4km or 8km trail. More details here.

Zoo Trots (12 July)

This race allows you to take a walk inside the Johannesburg Zoo, and after your 5km or 10km race you will receive a medal at the finish line. More details here.

Eco Ridge Trail/ Ubambiswano Big Walk (19 July)

If you haven’t found an event to do your 67 minutes at on Mandela Day, this will be a great way to contribute and keep active. More details here.

CANSA Relay for Life Corporate (19- 20 September)

If you enjoy running for a cause, this would be a great race to enter. This event aims to bring awareness of cancer to the business world. More details here.

This month at Zone Fitness we have many different workout activities for you to stay healthy and keep fit.

Bellville

For the month of July, we are focusing on keeping fit but also having fun while doing that. We have many different exciting fitness events happening at our Belville branch.

Cobble Walk
