August Events

In celebration of National Women’s Day on August 9, it’s a time to gather together for a greater cause and attend one of the many events happening at Zone Fitness. We’ll be celebrating all things women, as well as commemorating other special events at our Zone clubs for all members to attend.

Zone Fitness Cape Town will be dropping toys off at the South African Children’s Home on July 31. The staff always looks forward to this event as it’s a rewarding experience that brings joy into the lives of these children.

Zone Fitness Bellville will be giving out small gifts upon entry to show their appreciation for the constant support from their female members. This will happen on August 9.

On August 7, Bellville will host 3 of Reemay’s Classes. The ladies will receive something special for Women’s Day.

The club will head to Westcliffe High School on August 12 to do some fun fitness related activities with the students. These events are always fun as the Zone Fitness staff often end up learning a lot from the children too!

Winter Warmer Soup Sale will take place on August 18 at the Bellville Club. The soup will keep you warm during winter and the funds raised will go to a good cause.

On August 19, you’re invited to bring a friend who is not a member of the club to join our Buddy Up Ultimate CoreBrun.

Zone Fitness St. George’s Mall will hold a Women’s Day Dance Competition on August 7. The event will feature challenges such as squats, lunges, push-ups and sit ups.

In and around Cape Town, there will be a Reach For Your Slippers Campaign on August 7. Leave the stilettos at home on Friday and wear your slippers on your walk to work or gym in aid of this great campaign. Find out all the details here.

The Totalsports Ladies Race takes place on August 9 in Stellenbosch and in Johannesburg. It’s a fun run and you’re welcome to do it at your own pace. There is a 5km and a 10km route. Although most of the participants are women, there are a number of men who go all out to dress up and show their support!

On August 9, there will be a Women’s Day Swim between Robben Island and Big Bay, approximately 7.5km. The proceeds will be donated to charity. See the race details here.
