Celebrities’ inspirational fitness journeys

If your first feeling in the morning when you look into the mirror is one of despondency, it’s time for a change. Take a leaf out of the following celebrities’ books; people, who are under the limelight and public scrutiny 24/7, yet who have managed to perform miraculous body transformations.

Kelly Osbourne
Since 2009, the socialite has lost 32 kilograms and feels more content than she’s ever been in her life. She spent most of her life being bullied because of her weight and firmly believes this is the reason she turned to drugs and has been in-and-out of rehab three times.

Osbourne achieved her amazing goal by eating high-protein, low-carbohydrate meals and incorporating exercise like yoga, pilates, intervals on the treadmill and weightlifting. She also believes that it’s vital to have fun while doing exercise; so she makes a point of having weighted hula hoop parties with her friends! She says that the hoops have made her back and arms much stronger and has slimmed her waist down.

Jennifer Hudson
The 2004 American Idol finalist has gone through a total body transformation since becoming a Weight Watchers ambassador from 2010 to 2012.

The singer-actress claims to have gone on many different diets in the past that proved ineffective and lead to her falling off the weight-loss wagon. By eating portion-controlled meals and doing circuit training with a personal trainer five days a week, she managed to lose 36 kilograms and go from a size 16 to a 6.
Drew Carey
The comedian, who is known for his chubbiness and characteristic thick, black glasses, lost 30 kilograms in five months. When asked why, he said simply that he was tired of being overweight.

His diet consisted mainly of egg white, yogurt, fruit, lean meats, and water. Also, he had to completely cut out doughnuts. Carey got some advice from a personal trainer for his workout goals, but mainly stuck to a strict cardio routine which involved a lot of running.

He was also previously diagnosed with type 2 diabetes but, since losing the weight, does not suffer from the disease anymore.

As these celebrities’ stories prove, a radical body transformation is entirely possible with lots of hard work and dedication!
