High Protein Christmas Pops

The festive season is upon, and we all know what that means; (hopefully) lots of presents, coupled with (almost certainly) copious amounts of comfort food.

Don’t let the the jolly times annihilate your chiseled abs. Trade the Christmas cake and sweets for these high protein Christmas pops.


Protein pops

These will help you cool off during the hot days on the beach or by the pool, while cutting out all the sugar.

You can even make a large batch to serve as dessert.



1 can of black beans, drained and rinsed

2 cups almond milk, unsweetened

1/2 cup raw cacao powder

6 large pitted dates

3 tablespoons coconut flakes

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

A pinch of sea salt



Put the whole lot in a blender, let whizz, and make ice lollies with them – simple as that!

They’re packed with protein, good carbohydrates and fats. Now there’s no excuse to settle for overpriced soft serve!
